I’m gonna be doing some kind of laptop/electronic set of my stuff after Errors play the Ice Rink in Sheffield on 5th May. Not quite the same live show as I toured at the end of last year, but similarly full of over-the-top melodrama and fuzzy synths.

I’m slowly disappearing down the 65 rabbit hole, so Polinski live shows (apart from this and the A/V show I’m doing at FutureEverything on 17th May) are likely to be thin on the ground for a while. So. If you wanna see me make some noise, the North is where it’s at.

So. My Labyrinths album closes with a track called AWaltzOfLight. It’s not actually the original version though. The original version I wrote for somebody special a couple of years ago, in the middle of winter. It didn’t quite fit the tone of the record in that state, so I covered it in noise and kick drums until it made sense.

I’m still really attached to the original version and always wanted to somehow get it heard.

Monotreme Records came up with the plan of simply putting it out as a charity single, which seemed like a great idea. So that’s what’s happening. You can listen to it here:

and the download is available for pre-order for just £1 from the Monotreme Store, all of which will go to Oxfam. Which is hardly anything, right? Hopefully it’ll all add up. Technically this isn’t released until January 16th, so until then keep this Soundcloud close by.
